UNIVERSITY OF SÃO PAULO

São Paulo Innovation and Science Diplomacy School (InnSciD SP)

Global Health and Climate Change

The São Paulo Innovation and Science Diplomacy School (InnSciD SP), launched in 2019 with funding from the FAPESP São Paulo School of Advanced Science program, has grown into a leading international forum for dialogue and cooperation in the fields of science diplomacy and innovation policy. After six successful editions, InnSciD returns in 2025 for its seventh edition, focused on the timely and critical theme: Global Health and Climate Change.

Theme for 2025: Global Health and Climate Change

The 2025 edition of InnSciD explores the urgent and complex intersections between Global Health and Climate Change through the lens of Innovation and Science Diplomacy. With lectures, debates, and high-level panels featuring global experts, the program will offer participants critical perspectives on how scientific collaboration and innovation diplomacy can help address some of the most pressing global challenges of our time.

This year’s program will examine a broad set of topics, including the evolution of Science Diplomacy, anticipatory approaches to health and climate governance, global research collaboration, integrated public policies, and the role of the Global South in shaping sustainable and inclusive science agendas. Special emphasis will be given to Brazil’s scientific ecosystem, as well as international case studies on science, environmental diplomacy, and innovation in public health.
