Julia Penachioni holds a dual PhD in Political Science from the University of São Paulo and the University of Marburg (Germany), where she was a researcher at the Center for Conflict Studies. She also holds a Master’s degree in Social Science and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. Currently, she is a postdoctoral fellow at the Trans-Atlantic Platform (T-AP) program at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IEA) at the University of São Paulo. Her research focuses on science diplomacy as a strategic instrument to strengthen democracy, governance, and trust.
